All of our trail rides are guided. They are at a walking pace only, no matter what experience you may have.
Mounting blocks are not allowed. You must be able to mount your horse with little assistance.

A $1 NON REFUNDABLE deposit is required to secure your credit card and reservation. Charges will not be made until after your trip. There is a 3% credit/debit card fee. A 3% discount will be applied for cash transactions.

1 Hour Ride: Although this ride is offered in May and June, we recommend the two hour ride. Due to high water this early in the season, we are unable to cross the river, making the one hour ride just through a flat field near the road. In July, August and September this ride crosses the river and skirts the hills, for those who just want a small taste of the mountains.
2 Hour Ride: This ride takes our guests into the foothills of the Custer Gallatin National Forest. Experience the Gallatin Canyon in a way you never have before, crossing rivers, climbing hills, and seeing all the beauty that Montana has to offer! Our guides will be more than happy to tell you all about our wonderful backyard, and of course stop for photographs to capture all of your memories! Please keep in mind this ride will not cross the Gallatin River until July.
Please arrive at Canyon Adventures 30 minutes prior to ride time. You will check in and receive a safety speech before mounting your horse.
Please be on time, rides have to be back at scheduled time.
- Please wear close-toed shoes and long pants. (People will NOT go out if they have on shorts or open toed shoes.)
- If the weather possibly looks chilly, please dress appropriately in layers. You may bring a light jacket that we can put in your saddle bags.
- Hats must be secured so they do not blow off as this could be a safety hazard. Cowboy hats MUST have chin straps.
- We welcome water and cameras as long as they are small enough to fit into saddle bags. So please plan accordingly. No carbonated beverages.
- Cell phones must be kept away during the ride. Your wranglers will stop to take pictures for you.
Helmets are provided but not required. An additional waiver must be signed if you are refusing a helmet.
Rain jackets are provided if needed.
Gratuity is not included for your guide.
Drinks are available for purchase at the office.

- Weight limit is 230 lbs
- Someone in the group must be 18 years old
